Gate valve is one of the most commonly used block valves, which is mainly used to connect or cut off the medium in the pipeline, and is not suitable for regulating the medium flow. The gate valve is suitable for a wide range of pressure, temperature and diameter, especially for medium and large diameter pipelines.

Main advantages of gate valve:

(1) Low fluid resistance. The internal medium channel of the gate valve body is direct, and the medium does not change its flow direction when flowing through the gate valve, so the flow resistance is small.

(2) Opening and closing is labor-saving. When opening and closing, the movement direction of the ram is perpendicular to the medium flow direction. Compared with the stop valve, the opening and closing of the gate valve is labor-saving.

(3) The medium flow direction is generally unrestricted. The medium can flow in any direction from both sides of the gate valve, and the purpose of connection or disconnection can be achieved. Easy to install, suitable for pipelines where the flow direction of media may change.
